I always bet on us to get promoted. Myexpectation level is tempered by the fact we have yet to see what style we are going to play.
If after 5 games we have barely had any shots , but held on grimly for 1 or 2 goal defeats then I will fear the worst. However if this South American guy brings some attacking flair and we are banging the goals in then I will be expecting to cash in at the end of the season.

RE: I always bet on us to get promoted. I just hope that the speculation over his fee doesn't condemn him to the normal ****** from TARN supporters if he struggles to adapt at first. It must be a massive culture shock for him personally and professionally.
Nobody knows fck all about him so it's impossible to say how he'll do - look at the Hungarians, one never did owt and the other went **** after a good start. Who knows how Istvan will go next season ? Plus we've got a League 2 striker who will need time to adapt.
Next season we'll need to be as patient as this imho. Hope we win our first 10 games like, but not expecting too much.

Going in with what could be totally unproven forwards at this level is a massive gamble.
I am sure that Davey and Shep know this , therefore I suspect a couple of defensive signings in the coming weeks.

RE: Going in with what could be totally unproven forwards you can't say ferenczi is totally unproven at championship level, plus there is still Nardi - although this signing further strengthens the arguement that he is off
Less of a gamble than last years strike force At least all three (Odejayi, Ferenczi & Mostto) have scored regularly and even Odejayi, who is probably perceived to be the weakest, scored more in league 1 than any of our former strikers had. Defence is the area that needs further strengthening to me. One but hopefully two centre halfs and a left back. A decent pacey winger that can cross a ball and we might start to see the best of ferenczi.
