mark robins = secured rotherhams safety in league 2, played for man united

csaba laszlo = qualified for uefa cup with hearts last season and finished 3rd in spl

brian kidd = various assistant manager jobs including winning the prem league and managed blackburn a prem team

alan curbishley = took charlton to premiership and made them a decent mid table side. managed west ham

Experience alone most certainly does not gain respect.

    Being able to manage does
Understanding the needs of the players does
Being able to develop players does
having the ability to change a game does
    good decision making does

Experience means you've done something for a long time, doesn't guarantee your good at it

Maybe Mark Robins possesses these qualities, and the board think he can bring them to a higher level. Now that's speculating to accumulate !

No, its not just experience that we need. We have the basis of a decent mid table side, what we need is a confident manager that is used to winning
    football matches.

    Curbishly didn't get Charlton relegated

he'd left. It was Dowie followed by someone else followed by Alan Pardew. Curbishly was West Hams manager at the the end of that season... remember Tevez... David Unsworth.... Warnock resigning.
