Another good article on Stones. The more I read though the more I wonder if he will just stay at Everton for years. He is known there and guaranteed a first team slot. He will develop into a top class centre half. He could be their new Brian Labone, another Everton legend for their history books. They will be paying him a huge salary. Why go to Chelsea and risk it all blowing up? Unless someone, home or abroad, comes in with an outrageous bid of £60 million + in January I think we can whistle for our share for a few years to come.
Because the salary he'll be offered by the top clubs will make his Everton salary look like a pittance. 60k a week or 200k a week? That's the choice. Plus he needs to be playing in the champions league, Everton are miles away from doing that every season.
Demonstrates how good two of our previous Managers were with young players; and how crap our fans are in their knowledge.
Don't get that statement mate. Everyone bar a blindman could see how brilliant Stones was and that he was destined for stardom. Didn't take a manager, a player or a football pundit to realise that and we didn't need hindsight although by the sounds of it, the board at Oakwell are maybe not as knowledgeable as the fans when it comes to recognising talent.
Yeah , because all our fans hated John Stones and the managers never said anything wrong to him at all eh ?
Yeah , because all our fans hated John Stones and the managers never said anything wrong to him at all eh ? Also the manager that is talking in the article , didnt know how good he was when the board asked him !
