..... sorry, my photos Read some good comments on here, and some bitter, not so good (each to his own, to be fair). I am honestly proud and happy. Am not an out and out roadie, only had a road bike 18 months. Can honestly say I have never enjoyed a weekend so much in these Broad Acres. Yesterday, cycled wit a good friend from Bingley to Cote De Cray (Kidstones Pass). Top day, both cycling and watching. Spent today with the family in Silsden. Thanks to the kids having some good friends with wonderful parents, we made a day of it. Am burnt, sore and slightly fresh ( ) but ultimately happy. If you are easily bored with pics, ignore, if not, feel free to browse. https://www.flickr.com/photos/therealandymac/sets/72157645537330942/ Arabian Ian. Thanks for your kind comments on Gods Own County. To the ones who commented on crowd congestion on Cray - fair play but it was the stewards fault, not the spectators. I know - I was there. Finally - inscribed in chalk on "Cote De Cray" ...... I will never forget. "It is better to have ridden and lost in Yorkshire, than never to have ridden in Yorkshire at all" ABSO-FCUCKING-LUTELY.
Just had the most fantastic weekend. Firstly in Bradfield, then on Jawbone Hill, between Oughtibridge and Grenoside . The sense of Community / Yorkshire has been just brilliant. For me, nothing to do with cycling, that's just the catalyst. Fun, sunshine, a great spectacle. My youngest and her pal ran a tuck shop for 4 hours. Made over £100 profit. They;ve agreed to donate it to the school fund. What's not to like?
Good stuff Andy. Unfortunately I've had to watch the entire weekend on the TV but you get a real sense of the build up through your pictures. Many thanks
