It is a real place.

Apparatly British tourists anger the residents by stealing the road signs!

Just seen my mates piccies..switzerland though is awesome

Skied in Cervinia, on the Italian side of the Matterhorn. Crossed over to the Swiss side, Zermat, and went up a lift to the top of the the piccalo cervinio or little matterhorn.

A clear day and I could see a vast proportion of the Swiss alps..it was like an epiphany to me. I wept in the face of our hideous insignificance. It was a moment I will never forget.

The Bernese Oberland is also magnificent. I stayed in Grindlewald under the Eiger Nordwand...6000ft of shear rock. Went on a train upto the Jungfraujoch and walked on a glacier upto 12000ft..mindblowing. sadly all my photos are merely the old fashioned type otherwise I would post a few.

I would dearly love to spend a year touring the alps in summer and skiing in winter. I have to make do with the occaisional week.

    I meant definition 2 or 3!

    1. Epiphany
      •
A Christian feast celebrating the manifestation of the divine nature of Jesus to the Gentiles as represented by the Magi.
January 6, on which this feast is traditionally observed.
    2. A revelatory manifestation of a divine being.
      •
A sudden manifestation of the essence or meaning of something.
A comprehension or perception of reality by means of a sudden intuitive realization: “I experienced an epiphany, a spiritual flash that would change the way I viewed myself” (Frank Maier).
