After the cameraman got hit by a wheel last week they're making a few changes. The first is banning all cameramen from the pitlane, instead they'll be on the pit lane. Then banning all media types from the pit lane and making them report from the pit wall instead as well (not sure how that will affect the BBC/Sky guys as I believe they technically report from the garages and not in the pit lane itself). The third is making everyone working on a car at a pit stop will have to wear an helmet. I thought this was the rules already to be honest. Don't remember seeing anyone without full fire suits and helmets on. The last one which is utterly barmy and has absolutely nothing to do with what happened is they are reducing the speed limit in the pit lane by 20% Thoughts? Not enough? Too much? Wrong changes?
Pirelli could make a tyre that isn't classified as a lethal weapon. If the chances of a tyre exploding at any second were less, maybe so would be the stress levels and general edginess in the pit lanes.
And about as dangerous as a night out with you. Quite apt that you felt the need to post in a thread about someone being blindsided and hit in the back when they weren't looking. Webber just fecked off and didn't stop to help either. You are Mark Webber
I don't think that the wheel problem was related to pirelli's problems at all was it? Looked like the kind of thing that has happened many times in the past with the lollipop guy thinking they've finished when they haven't. Actually it was electronic and I'm sure that Webber set off before the green light. I saw a light go out but never saw the green one come on. I think that for pit stops that should enforce a minimum stopping time of say 5 seconds which would mean that they shouldn't really be setting off without the tyres being on, would stop unsafe releases and would allow them to do slightly more work to the cars such as more adjusting of the wings and things.
I know you are, he sent me a picture of mrs webbers saggy tits the other day. Underneath he wrote 'fancy going dogging?'
Interesting ! Are you still on the legal highs ? Ps I have met mrs webber Our eng manager was head of honda team years ago He is still good friends Met them in london Do you Want a signed photo ? Of me xxx
Can't argue with you there. The question is is that the fault of pirelli, the FIA for instructing them to build a tyre that doesnt last and is more exciting, or the teams for refusing to allow them to make a change when they saw it was needed?
I'm coming with you. Especially now that he's started lying again. He's met mrs webber. Mark Webber isn't married.
Alhambra car park is more dangerous than an F1 pit lane - the safety is getting beyond a joke, and it's reactive, never proactive
If Le Mans cars can go 5 driver stints (about 450miles) without the need to change tyres and the cars weigh more, have a similar top speed and have a variety of high and low speed corners, surley tyres can be made to last a GP without any noticable effect on lap times. Or is just that the cars in F1 have to stationary in the pits every few laps so that the sponser's logo can be seen?
