England are have a deal with Vauxhall so the big VW logo beneath the Hazledens hoarding between the Ponty & West Stand was (partly) covered by a blanket even though there was never any chance of it being in camera shot!
I imagine Vauxhall would have had a clause to that effect put in with the original agreement - no other car companies advertised at any ground. Wouldn't mind but Vauxhalls are ****
Think its standard thing from Sponsors when products clash, remember things like players having to cover adidas stripes on boots in the past
Makes sense. Vauxhall are paying England a lot of money to sponsor them so obviously won't want rival brands advertised in the same place.
