It seems wrong that given we can't get to games cos of Covid we've no way of legally watching unless we subscribe to BT for a month.
When such a big deal is made about piracy they sure don't make it easy for people to watch legally when we cannot go to Oakwell.
Watch it however you can is my view. The vast majority have paid for STs and not requested a refund. I know that you'd have had to pay to be at Oakwell on Saturday ........... I'll probably get pelters for this but if I owned a shop in town and I had a customer who came in every Saturday to purchase things. I'd for one appreciate their custom. Then Covid hits. He contacts me and asks if he can buy online instead. I have to tell him that yes that's an option but he'll have to pay for the privelege. It'd not be my fault. As this situation isn't BFCs fault. Business is built on loyalty and repeat custom in most cases. Just my opinion..........
Awful business model from BT. There should be a £10 day pass, same as NowTV. I'm lucky enough to have BT Sport at a discounted rate. I wouldn't bother otherwise, and I definitely wouldn't be buying a months pass for the sake of one game.
I have it as well all bundled in with sky sports in a Big Sport package so I will be able to watch the game. if I didnt have it though I wouldnt be signing up for a month at £30 (or whatever it is) - No idea why they dont do a daily pass for £10 like Sky do
I find listening really frustrating, especially if I have to pay extra to do so, so I will just have to get the gist of how we're doing on here from those who have BT.
It’s only going to get worse. Disney and Amazon will be the next big players. Their wealth drowns Sky and BT so it will be interesting when the new contract bidding starts. Disney want the premier league, the ashes and BT want the England tour of India not to mention European games again. So to get a the broad spectrum of Sports one would have to subscribe to Disney, Amazon Prime, Netflix, Sky, BT not mention the licence fee to see Garry Lineker get the crumbs - I don’t think so!
I suddenly don't mind the wife's Disney subscription...although I suspect they'll want more than the £5.99 per month I'm currently paying.
Was on about teletext other day. Can the older end remember booking or looking for a holiday on it. 371 pages to wait through. Then if it didn't hold or you missed it you'd time to nip to shops, make your tea and a cuppa until it came round again .......
That's usually the way it works. I've been with BT broadband for years, so when they started the BT Sport package I got it for free. Didn't use it myself, but my son got hooked on Bundesliga football (he still follows Borussia Dortmund). When BT bought the rights to screen all the Champions League games, they upped the price to £5 per month. I paid it, of course, because it was still cheap as chips, but there's now an annual battle between me and BT about the cost. I'm paying a tenner now. When my current BT deal runs out next year, I'll be putting on my best woe-is-me voice and telling them I need to get my costs down.
Regrettably paid the £25 for a bt monthly pass at least will cover the 5th round also if we get through might even watch Chorley v Wolves tomorrow hoping for a cup shock
