If there was one tie you could have, which would it be? I'd like any of the non league clubs at Oakwell. Preferably, Blyth Spartans. Guaranteed to be on TV, bit of good press for both clubs and hopefully a comfortable passage through to the third round and Sheff Wed away. If there's one tie you don't want, which is it? I'd have to say one of MK Dons, Bristol City or Peterborough would be the shittiest. Tough opponents from our own division so little chance of TV coverage and a chance to be eliminated. I'm going with Bristol City away. Who do I think we'll get? Plymouth away.
Yep, I'd ideally like an away game at somewhere I haven't been, but logistically it may be a nightmare, as the wife is away that weekend so I'd need to sort out a babysitter for my 5 year old. Be much easier if we're at home. So a non-league team at home for me too. Blyth Spartans would be a good choice, as I can remember them getting to the 5th round in 1978, where they should have beaten Wrexham. Warrington would be good too. What we don't want is a League One team away. Bristol City or MK Dons would be the nightmare scenario.
Want: Warrington Town away to see us try and make ticketing fair. Don't Want: Anyone in our league as we play them during the season anyway. Who Will We Get? Quite often we draw someone around the time we play them in the league. So because the 2nd round is in December i'll go for Oldham.
Want: Dover Athletic, home or away don't care which. Got some good mates down there & Mrs.H was a Dover fan before I converted her. Don't want: Blunts. Full stop!
From a selfish point of view, Notts County away would be great as I can watch the match then go out in Notts with some of my student b**tard mates. Would love a non-league team away but only one which would accommodate more than 300 away fans i.e. not Warrington. Tbf though, any away game would do and any home tie as long as it's not against a team in League 1. Even MK Dons and Bristol City away would be fine, an away day is an away day however you look at it.
Want: lower league at home Don't want: same division, home or away. Also don't want a daft away trip we Christmas coming. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
