Come on HT, just enjoy it rather than having to turn it into a dig or a point in an argument all the time.

Lesson for today hemsie, all major football leagues have a cup competition but name it differently.

The Spanish league is best in world IMO but they do not have the "Fa Cup" but they do have the Spanish cup which is just as good as the Fa Cup

On 18/19th December 2012 it was their last 16 round. 8 games, average attendance over 33,000, 3 of 8 games sold out, over 77,000 at Dortmund.

Quarter finals are today and tomorrow, including B München v B Dortmund.

    You Reds!

    Kickers Offenbach vs. VfL Wolfsburg
    VfB Stuttgart vs. VfL Bochum
    Bayern München vs. Borussia Dortmund

Maybe even an appearance for Heinz Müller aat FSV Mainz.

Question for anyone. Do any of the foreign cups include all clubs at the start like ours? Or are they just for the professional clubs?

Not as old as the FA Cup or open to village teams though so not really as good.

Not sure about other countries but the German cup is open to 64 teams, including all the first top 2 divisions, which leaves 21 places open to regional cup competition winners. Since any team can enter these regional cups, in effect any team has a route through to the main cup. Non-league teams can and do get through.

Not quite the open competition of the fa cup then. I think the FA cup is unique in that respect.
