Re: Forgot ITV had the FA Cup Posh versus Sunderland? Is that best they can come up with? Rather they have seen the outcome of the replays so they could have put on Fleetwood Town home to Blackpool.
Re: Forgot ITV had the FA Cup 3pm ko for the promotion seeking reds then maybe we could go for the league / cup double toot toot
What a fecking joke, dont they understand the FA cup is about special matches that normally only happen on computer games. What is special about Manure v Sh!tty, a game that gets played twice a season every season. Pathetic. Likewise dont the likes of Arsenal, Villa, etc get enough TV coverage without giving them more in the cup!! More games I wont be watching on TV.
Certainly the predictable one was the Manchestaaaar derby. ITV like BBC have no live Premier League rights so of course will snaffle up whothey can from that league. Personally I'd watch it and pick it as one for telly. Massive Leeds by default get tv games which means litle Arsenal also get a game on telly. Leeds will be on television a dozen times by the end of the season at least. Agree the other ones are a bit pathetic. And I'm sure there are a few lower league discontented club chairman seeing Bristol Rovers are on again as in round two. Tamworth at Everton could have been a nice one. BBC are not bothered about us, but if we continue to rise we'll be on after Christmas when the remaining live games are announced. Unfortunately no derbies after the New Year whcih could have been on. Certainly agree should have waited to see if Fleetwood make it through as that would be a real tasty match.
The ITV/ESPN combo ruins it in my opinion. Half the games most cant see (ESPN), with the other half suffering from poor coverage. Not many tasty ties I don't think in general, Manchester derby fair enough, Peterbro v Sunderland may be decent. Arsenal Leeds on a Monday night though? Great planning for the away fans once again.
Won't go out of my way to watch any. The FA cup just doesn't hold the same romance these days as it used to.
If I was to pick a match i'd put... Everton vs Tamworth on, or depending on the replay results, Fleetwood and Blackpool or Chelmsford and Bolton.
