FA Statement Wednesday, 28 October, 2009 Oakwell crowd disturbances to be investigated. The FA can confirm they are investigating reports of crowd disturbances at last night's (Tuesday) Carling Cup tie between Barnsley FC and Manchester United FC at Oakwell. Following a series of reported incidents, The FA is now awaiting the reports of an FA Crowd Control Advisor, present at the game, as well as from referee Chris Foy. Furthermore, The FA will also be liaising with both clubs and South Yorkshire Police to gather evidence relating to events at Oakwell. An FA spokesperson said: "There is no place for anti-social or violent behaviour in our game.
