From the official site: Miracle man Fabrice Muamba will visit Barnsley Football Club as part of a fun festival organised by retired footballer Bruce Dyer. Committed Christian Muamba shot to prominence when he collapsed and stopped breathing in an FA Cup quarter-final between Bolton and Spurs. He remarkably recovered but was forced to retire. He will visit Oakwell on Monday 6 May to share his story and meet fans at the Love Life Festival. At the event, which Dyer is running in conjunction with Barnsley Football Club, an exhibition match will take place between a Bruce Dyer All Star team and a Bobby Hassell Barnsley legends team. Hassell is also running a football competition for kids and there will be games, a funfair, food and live music. Dyer said: “We’re really excited and this promises to be a historic event for the town. I met Fabrice at the Reebok Stadium. He’s a great guy with a powerful story and he’s excited about coming to Barnsley. “A big talking point about the day will be the exhibition game. I’m close friends with Bobby but we will be opponents on that day and will be going up against each other aiming to win. “He keeps joking with me that I’ve put a bit of weight on since I retired but I’ve scored a lot of goals on that Oakwell pitch and I’ll be aiming to bag a couple more!” There will also be an opportunity for businesses and registered charities to have exhibition stands at the event. The cost of a stand will be £100, but it will be free for registered charities. Re: Fabrice Muabma coming to Oakwell Not sure what's wrong with me today. I'd already edited his first name as I'd got that wrong.
Fabrice Muabma coming to Oakwell The beauty of text editing is that the person who highlights the correction ends up looking the chump
Re: Fabrice Muabma coming to Oakwell Apart from my actual post above (#2), which still has the original mistake on the subject heading. Gally's probably overindulged on the apres-ski.....
