It fairness mate, its brilliant. Was a bit sceptical initially myself- what with Myspace and sites of their ilkbeing for kids. But Facebook is different- definitely more adult oriented and like has been said above, great for looking up pictures of ex birds from your yoof, should you be so inclined. I know I am.
But generally is a good tool to keep in touchwith old mates you rarely get to see, but equally good with people you see all the time. The main reason behind it for me is to upload pics and generally keep a record of what you've been upto, the key being that everyone you become friends with can see.
Opens up a whole new world of pisstake as well, which can't be bad.

Agreed It's also like this BBS in that it takes a while to get used to and then becomes bloody addictive.
r kid works in Liberia and its the most reliable way of keeping in contact with him. there is post but it comes via his organisation in Dublin and takes months and normal email is unreliable for reasons I dont understand
That's the main reason for me. Especially old mates in different parts of the world, who because of time difference are rarely on MSN the same time. For example three old mates who have lived in Hamilton in New Zealand for over a decade. Well it beats living in Huddersfield.
