Still a headless chicken. Still can't stand up. Thank God we didn't listen to the "he'll come good" brigade and got rid.

Thank god we didn't hang on to him and get that £300,000 off Swansea.

As I said in my match report...

He's gone from being a wimp who struggles to play football, to a dirty git who struggles to play football.

    Gi' o'er

£300000 is an obscene amount of money for a league one striker in this day and age.  We got £60000 for him at a time when I would have taken 60000 rusty washers for him and a further £50k (ish) from the sell-on clause.

To have held on to him just on the off-chance that someone would take leave of their senses and make such a ridiculous offer would have been a hell of a gamble.

    Just saying

He did go for £300,000. Money which would have been ours had we kept him.

Some folk like him, some don't. Same with all players. I thought he was alright, not worth 300,000, but alright. Still think it's a big shame that Swindon effectively made £200,000 on a player that we put the majority of time, money and effort into.

We'd never have got £300K for him. We did well to get 60. And remember he hasn't been playing for nothing all this time.

    Indeed, that does rankle somewhat.

However, I bet there isn't another club in this league who have paid £300,000 for a current striker. In the current climate that is a barmy amount of money to shell out on a player who is average league 1 fodder at best.

When Swindon offered such a generous fee for him, I thought they'd taken leave of their senses. No-one could have predicted at that time that Swansea would be even barmier and pay 5 times that!

    Thought he did ok yesterday

He and Trundle had a good understanding and Fallon held the ball up well for most of the game.

When will the barnsley numpties realise that bating players like Trundle always blows up in their faces ala yesterday afternoon?

That would be the whole defence apart from Adie Moses who he'd just cheated into getting sent off.

    Agreed.

Ginola got through because nobody dared touch him.
