65 out of 72 EFL clubs are on the list. Guess who's one of the exceptions. Addressing this anomaly should surely be a goal for the new regime for next season, as part of the wider 'fixes' the matchday experience. https://www.efl.com/news/2022/may/efl-clubs-achieve-family-excellence-status/
At this point I'd gladly accept the basics being delivered to a decent standard as a marker of progress, let alone awards.
As you say pretty embarrassing. Especially given all the promises of the new owners when they arrived.
After receiving the award in years previous, it's a real shame to just miss out in 2021/22, but plenty of contributory factors beyond our control which meant certain offerings weren't available when the mystery shopper visited. I actually enjoy their random visit, and the report they provide as it gives a real insight into the experience of visiting Oakwell, from a neutral perspective. The whole 'fan experience' moving into this new era has to improve. As Neerav says - Spectemur Agendo. Have a wonderful Tuesday!
Winning team on the pitch 'll do for me. I've never been interested in the other stuff if things are going well on the pitch.
It’s a shame really when you look at all the other great programmes/ initiatives such as Reds in the Community, Fit Reds etc.
Fit Reds was particularly good. Got a thrill at the time from playing on the astroturf Academy pitches and the indoor one, so can only imagine how those who played on Oakwell last week felt.
Yeah, they took over our boxing class, after it looked like it was ending due to previous organisation packing in. Good lads running it.
Lots of work to be done top to bottom because the club is rotten to the core. Outside of our brilliant front of house staff in the club shop and ticket office it's hard to find much more to be proud about.
All the other staff, would no doubt disagree with you. I know a cleaner and someone who works in the laundry who certainly would enlighten you about ALL club staff
That’s ok for some people . Me included when I’m not taking the kids . However my kids, 10 and 13 loved the family stand activities . They still go on about when all the reptiles came . Someone said children are our future! Well mine would rather sit at home and watch you tube now rather than go due to the crap match day experience . For example, they still have pictures drawn by kid supporters on the walls of in the family stand from when Hammil was here 1st time round
The experience is shocking and it’s not hard to spot the problems. I can’t understand how it can be as bad as it it.
We could at least take the posters down advertising reds in the community 2016/2017 which are still up. No attention to detail and there’s no excuse for that.
