    Reading on X that a fan has been banned by the Club for arguing with a steward over a flag.

    Reading the comments, there's a swell of support for the fan who's been banned.

    Does anyone on here know anything? Context?

    Yet again, fans berating club when majority don't know the whole story. I could literally go on twitter, make an account, and accuse the steward of calling me a fat ******* during this and people would believe it.

    Steward could be in the wrong, I don't know. But the instant jumping on is annoying.

    Correct Helen, I didn't get banned at all, in fact I effectively banned myself by stopping going to games. It was @thetykester who kindly took over the Preedy flag duties, but I've lost track of what happened after that.

    It wasn't my intention to accuse you of anything by the way - hope you didn't take my post that way. Was simply a reference to some other flag-based incident I was trying to recall.

    I think it's actually 2 fans that have there season tickets cancelled.

    From what I heard yesterday one of them tried to enter and his ticket came up as invalid so he went to the box office to see what had happened and got told he had been suspended from attending for 3 matches.

    All a bit much for holding a flag up.

    Don’t know all the details but if it’s the fella I’ve been told it is he lives and breathes BFC. Never misses a game home or away.

    Nope, wasn't offended at all, don't worry! I just stopped going because of Conway etc etc. I always got on well with Beth, bless her, who's Barnsley through and through and was very helpful with the Preedy/Cryne flag back then.

    Again, need to get the facts, but I find it very hard to believe the Club have suspended and/or cancelled STs, for holding a flag up. Unless the flag was particularly offensive, in which case I would need to see what the flag said before forming an opinion.
