short for fanatic</p> I have no time for those who are saying they will not go again this season/next season if we go down</p> a fan is a fan is a fan through thick and thin</p> end of story</p>
Seeing your kids? which is vastly underrated imho.</p> You've missed a small point paul.d. The alienation of the clubs supporters over the last few months.</p> Mixed messages and last but not least messages that denegrate the fans that travel up and down the country.</p>
but........ think back to administration,Doyle etc</p> did you stop going then? the PR and mixed messages were a million times worse then</p> we're a small club being run on the cheap by a couple of fans who didn't want the club to fold-they won't always get it right but at least there's still a club</p> I genuinely believe that they both have the best interests of the club as a whole at heart</p> give them a break</p>
agree with that post can see why some are disenchanted. I'll be honest i've missed a few away games lately cos i've been piping my new bird and am on 1-9pm at work so weekends is only really chance
I think we're coming from different directions mate. </p> You're thinking, "Should I?" I'm thinking, "DoI want to?"</p>
well if you don't want to.......... don't-I'm not getting at you if you feel that way but if you've given up on the club comletely why post any more on here??
I am... I'm not vociferously making damaging statements about the running of the club.</p> I will just chose to pick my games which is my perogative.</p> I just feel that the things that I miss to go and watch the reds (time with the rugrats) x by the cost of going to every game x by the entertainment value is a formula I can't be arsed to work out at the moment.</p> Maybe a graph would help </p>
RE: I am... fair enough-I also don't like the"you're not a true fan if you don't go home and away every week" brigade-personal circumstances dictate which matchesfans can/want to go to -I just happen to choose to buy in advance</p> it's just that I can't see a time when I'd actually say "I'm not going ever again" as some seem to be today</p>
Its the general depression of being a reds fan at the moment Its disappointing because the early season vigour has now been washed away by an internal hurricane that nobody can stop.</p> Its that depressing that I sometimes can't be arsed to post/read the BBS which has been an integral part of my evenings for years.</p>
I haven't given up on the club completely........ </p> ....and if I had it wouldn't stop me posting on here.</p>
In fairness to all, we are seeing "fanatical" posts at both sides of the fence scale so I don't see how any poster can be said not to be a "fanatic". They all share a common fanaticism, but express it in different opinions and ways. Confucious 389652 A.D.
We will be there on Saturday...... We will support the team. I have no faith in the "manager"'s ability to motivate the team whatsoever, hence ZCU, WCU and I will go and try to show the players, most of whom provided us with our last happy memory, that we are behind them despite the ineptitude that they will have to endure pre-match and at half time (I'm hoping that they won't let him in the dressing room after the game, let alone on the coach back!). I believe that it is important that we let the players know that we are behind them even though the manager couldn't manage a chip shop because, if they feel that they are the targets of our displeasure, there will be a mass exodus at the end of the season and I do not think that a club in freefall with Davey in charge will be able to attract players of sufficient quality to prevent relegation to League 2 at the end of the 2007-2008 season. It is highly likely that there will be a mass exodus then anyway if Davey remains in charge. Even if, as City Tyke stated in reply to my post a couple of weeks ago, Davey WAS the players' choice, I don't believe that he is now. If we are to have any chance of avoiding relegation Mr Davey must be relieved of his responsibilities in time for his successor to firstly grab a couple of good signings before it's too late and secondly raise the team to get the them playing with sufficient spirit to put up a good fight against relegation. It is IMPERATIVE that Davey goes within the next three or four days, whatever the result against Luton. I have NEVER called for the sacking of the manager of Barnsley Football Club before as I believe that stability is the key to success, but I'm going to be shouting for it on Saturday. Bye-bye Davey, bye-bye....(please)!
I shall support the team as I have done for years by buying a Season Ticket. However I shall probably not go to many matches if the standard continues as a present
