Sad news, as Richard Lewis has died of a heart attack. I love the episodes where he featured, just like I used to enjoy the episodes where Funkhauser appeared. Now both gone. I’ve had the first series downloaded on my Sky planner, as I was intending on watching the lot from the beginning, but then the new series has come out and I’m tossing up whether I want to watch that first or wait and have the new episodes to finish with, as I understand it’s to be the final series.
Best Comedy made in the last 20 years since only fools and horses. Slightly above The Office and The Inbetweeners. I've been watching it since it started, gloriously funny, although last weeks episode was one of the worst of the 12 series they've made. RIP to Richard Lewis, who has been an incredibly large and important part of the journey.
Decided to start with series one and in it Lewis complains that Larry’s latest faux pas is affecting his heart, which was a bit freaky. I read in his obituary that they were both born in the same hospital, three days apart.
Gutted to hear the news. I did think he looked quite unwell in the previous episode, didn't realise he had been having health problems this past couple of years
