This is something that was mentioned on a podcast I listen to.

What matches, Barnsley or otherwise, would be part of your fantasy season ticket. It can be a match you attended and want to re-live, or a match you'd have liked to have experienced live:

    Bradford at home 96/97
    FA Cup final 1912
    World Cup Final 1966
England v Scotland - Euro 96 (the game that got me hooked on football)
    Birmingham away in the play-offs

Sounds good to me. Maybe would add at home to Oxford when we saw Daniel steam into action on a lovely sunny afternoon.

Oh and the FA Cup replay against Manure, great to see justice done.

Netherlands v Argentina - World Cup quarter-final, 1998. "Frank de Boer speelt de bal..."

I'd have given anything to have been at Brentford last season.

Wednesday 2-2 Crystal Palace - enjoy League One, Pigs.

Very good choices. I would add:

2016 Playoff final v Millwall, just to watch Hammill's wonder goal again to go 2-0 up
1970 World Cup final, just to witness the great Pele in front of 107, 000 at the Aztec Stadium
1979 v Grimsby, when we get promoted under Clarkey
1981 v Rotherham, when we got promoted under Big Norman

I don't fancy reliving the walk back to the bus after the game at Anfield.

Just the first one for me, and whilst I can remember bits of it, I reckon I'd appreciate it much more now as an adult.

I'm weirdly nostalgic about that Altrincham game. I'd take that again over watching any match on ifollow every day of the week.

We went in the car and a young scally asked for a pound to look after the car for us but as we were in a hurry and already missed the first half I told him to pee off. I expected to find my Hillman Avenger on bricks with no wheels when we got back. Strangely it hadn't been touched...

Were you one of the few who saw the whole game?

    Nov 1977, Brentford home. 0-0
One of the rare poor games that has managed to stick in my memory, partly due to the bad weather, partly due to an awful miss by Peter Price.

It's all very well revisiting classics, but I'd also like to watch a rubbish game from our Division 4 days. Just to give me a better yardstick by which to judge this season's vertical football experience.

If not the one above, then Stockport away, same season. My first away game. We lost 3-0 and I'd already booked for the next match, away at Halifax. I came out of Stockport's ground thinking that I must be daft.

Nah, only saw the last 30 mins... Drove up from Cambridge after work, picked my dad up then on to Liverpool. The drive back to Barnsley was a nightmare, it was about 3am when I got to bed. Seems an awful lot of effort for 30 mins of a 0-0 game of football....
