Re: What happened? He came over to the Ponty end to applaud the fans and it looked like some lads in the bottom corner were having a go at him so we went over to have a go back. I might have it wrong but it looked to get a little heated before he walked away.
Re: What happened? Massive fan of Adam Hammill and he deserves more support than most. However, he stormed across with a face of pure anger. Honestly thought he was going to have a pop at the fan until it all got calmed down. Look, maybe he felt the criticism was unjustified but surely he could have just walked towards the fans applauding rather than power walk into the corner effing and blinding. Hourihane then had a lingering look towards the fans in the corner. Sad to see such a lack of unity. Then we had arguments on the way out between fans who were arguing for and against booing/clapping etc. What a mess!
Re: What happened? Some right nobs. First bad game he's had since he returned so the fans start abusing him. Ffs, if fans. Gonna have a go at anyone why not have a go at Winnall for missing a sitter that hammil put on his head and another that Williams set up for him. Forgot Winnal can't be critisized for some reason Not that fans should be abusing any players btw
Re: What happened? I really couldn't understand the abuse he got. Even when having an off day he was still better than many of the other players. He certainly wasn't happy with the abuse and in my opinion was right to say something back. I'm OK with fans booing the team collectively but I don't think it's right to single out a player and giving them abuse for having an off day.
Re: What happened? My mate wasn't criticising Hammill. He is actually a big Hammill fan and will be upset by what happened. He was criticising the performance in general and Hammill ran over - very aggressively - saying get behind your team blah blah ****ing blah. My mate is a dyed in the wool reds fan who has been going for 30 years. Adam Hammill left Oakwell the first chance he got. Some of you might say he was entitled to further his career. Fair enough but my mate is 100 times the man he will ever be. Adam - if you read this you owe my mate a massive apology. Otherwise **** you. ****ing **** you. Shithouse.
Re: What happened? He didn't get any abuse Mario. He was acting the aggressive **** which he has form for.
Re: What happened? So for absolutely no reason what so ever Hammill decided to march over to the Barnsley fans and start abusing them Righto
Re: What happened? Too much pressure has been put on Hammills shoulders. He's entitled to an average game now and then. Even Messi has off days. It's upto others to step up when he's off it. That didn't happen today. Also he did have 2/3 players on him eventing he had the ball. Also, Winnall needs dropping for either Williams or Jackson
Re: What happened? Andytyke, I don't think he really played that bad. Put in the effort like hes done in every game so far. Sprinted back to put pressure on when Wigan were just 1-0 up. Not sure who went through could have been kellett. Glad you've noticed that about Winnall too.
Re: What happened? I didn't think Hammill was bad, just wasn't as good as he has been certainly didn't deserve the abuse he apparently didn't get
Re: What happened? Fair enough, like I said I didn't hear what was said, I just saw the confrontation.
Re: What happened? Up to you. If you want to believe someone with a proven history of violent behaviour over a true reds fan that's up to you. I'm telling you now your faith is misguided.
