Maybe not, but he is obviously a younger poster and threatening him with a ban over a stupid comment (he himself as admitted this) isn't the way to educate is it. Too many people on here full of themselves who enjoy putting people down who are on a level below them (well in their own heads anyway!)
you're wrong jim. read the thread again. several people, myself included, tried to placate, pacify, educate, reason. call it what you want. the more we tried, the more incensed and irrational the comments got. this is nothing to do with bashing, this is about people just acknowledging when they're wrong. no one here is interested in rangers or celtic. we're certainly not interested in hate fuelled bigotry. which is exactly what was happening.
I just see a few people on here who want to ban everyone whose views don't match their own, its a sad reflection on the rest of the board which is a shame as there is a lots of decent people on here
no jim. just for posting comments which contravene the BBS rules. the rules which everyone agrees to, when they sign up.
If we all played by the rules and banned folk for not adhering to them there would be hardly anyone left!
no, i don't think so. vast majority of people do. no one gets banned for having different opinions, or for just being annoying. there are actually very few things that will result in a ban. hate fuelled bigotry is one of them, however. and i support that 100%
There has been a lot of good posters banned in recent times, who were persecuted because they didn't go with the flow of the 'main boys'
Regular posters on here will know of a few good posters on this site who have been hounded out by the do-gooders
I post quite regularly and I know exactly who you are referring to but to say they were persecuted is really pushing it to the extreme.
You posted on the right thread/right site? Your not meaning to reply to a thread about Yeovil on Bristol Rovers site are you?
