    I certainly have

I've always had a soft spot (so to speak) for Bettany Hughes for a few years now. The main problem, as far as I'm concerned, with the discovery of these artefacts is when they are purchased by a private buyer. Anything discovered on any dig is part of our country's heritage and therefore belongs to all of us (you, me, everyone), in my opinion. They should be made available to everyone to view and study, not locked away in a private collection. Some of the items shown so far have been exquisite and fascinating.

    The young students

From the three universities have to camp there. As you rightly say, I can come home to a hot bath and Crystal's fantastic cooking. I get the best of both worlds on this dig.

Is that the lady with the ample fun bags?

The bloke who found the rings near Leeds, split the cash with the land owner, think he got about 80k. The rings were a great find, great examples.

    How did you guess??:D:D
I have no problems with either the discoverer or land owner receiving payment for any finds, they deserve it. It pleases me when it's a museum that makes the purchase. That way the public gets the opportunity to view a part of their heritage and professionals get the opportunity to make an in-depth study.
