    I've been doing a little bit of research and have found the following useful info

    1) You don't need an international driving licence, your UK one will suffice

    2) 3rd party insurance is apparently still not mandatory in Ukraine! I think that tells you a lot about what it will be like!

    cant believe there wont be some decent transport laid on from Krakov - can get decent flights to there but the problem will be getting to Donetsk and apparently there's loads of checkpoints to go through. £400 to fly to Donetsk which seems a bit steep for a weekend!

    You're assuming on there being a modicum of organization - a dangerous thing to rely on in Ukraine!
