I have just telephoned the club to find out how to get tickets if you live an unfeasibly long distance from Barnsley. Season Ticket holders must send (by post presumably) their ST booklet (including Voucher E) with their patron code to a someone who is willing to queue on their behalf. That person will then be allowed to purchase tickets on behalf of the "distant" ST holder. Non ST holders will have to get someone else to buy them a ticket. The club stressed that this is as a result of the theft of FA Cup Final tickets in Liverpool and not because they were not willing to assist those of us who live further away!!
cheers mate why we cant just send season tickets / centenary society tickets directly to them i dont know !!
Cheers But "The club stressed that this is as a result of the theft of FA Cup Final tickets in Liverpool" What a none issue. Once they knew which tickets had been knicked all they had to do was issue some more in a different colour. So we suffer because of their lack of nouse
RE: Cheers But That and they said that it's not because they're not willing to help... but they aren't willing to help!
I don't understand. What has tickets getting stolen for the FA cup got to do with being able to help distant supporters?</p>
RE: Alternatively All I know is I'll be gutted if the match doesn't sell out and I couldn't get a ticket.
Looks like a sunny Monday off work to come down and queue then. Unless someone fancies queueing for me. That would be nice.
I think I may have inadvertantly inferred in another post that... BFC's attitude towards distant fans was not very praiseworthy! Having spoken to them directly, I now appreciate that my initial reaction was incorrect!!!
RE: A sell out? Judging by the poll 26% of people will not be able to attend. Simple economics. Offer a phone service to those outside S Yorks only.
