What's it like in Farnham for things to do? I've an acquaintance who's started down there at the art college and so a few of us might have to pop down. Looks a really nice area you are from.

Its nice but a bit quiet - some decent pubs in and eating places both in the centre and outskirts but no clubs or anything.
some of it a bit pricey for Student budget though
Traditional Plaice fish and chip shop on Downing St does proper fish and chips
Couple of decent Indian's as well

Easy to get to Guildford though (or Aldershot if desperate)

The service is very good though. Cheers Morty.

I know people who don't like paying 2.90 for Carling in Blah Bar. God help them down south. Worst value i've seen in Barnsley is Escapade charging 3.50 for a small plastic bottle of beer.

Went in the new Wetherspoons on Market Street yesterday - The Silkstone Inn....nice place and some quality ales.
Then went in the Gatehouse - boy has that place gone downhill!

Went in Silkstone Inn the other week and it stunk of being new. Really smart inside and you don't usually see books in a drinking place. I'd not fancy using them steps to the bog after a few drinks though ha ha.

    Slight price correction

The Fox has Witchfinder at £2.80 a pint - just had a couple of nice pints of it tonight (Its a Porter rather than a bitter or Lager - but still pretty good stuff)
