I'll always respect you for setting up and maintaining the BBS but I'll be leaving now.

Do me a favour and drop me a PM when you've changed the admin policy and stopped telling me where I can and cant post.

    Bizarrely

I agree with your sentiments (though won't be spitting my dummy out!). See no need to lump all posts together in a mega-thread. Especially on a day like today and that fact that it isn't easy to see the thread properly or which posts you've already read.

    Re: Bizarrely

I dont get why people would want to read multiple different threads about John Stones, all posted at different times - when you can read them all in one thread. It's common practice all over the internet on BBS's to merge threads.

    This place is weird.

    Re: Bizarrely

That's ok if you come along at the end of the day and want to read all of it at once. If I could see the thread like we used to be able to and have indication in the thread of which posts we've read I wouldn't care. Not a board leaving problem I know.

Just to clarify it's nothing to do with throwing teddy's out of the cot, I simply don't like using forums where threads are merged as I find them hard to follow, boring to read and too long winded and structured. Just ask Dreamboy, I told him exactly the same ages ago about his forum where they do the same thing.

Also andytyke claims he only merged the stones threads as a one off because the bbs was so busy today. That's odd because had an 'official matchday thread' going the other day and has merged loads in the past too.

Are you having a hissy fit dear?

I agree with your sentiment, but your overreaction is a bit extreme?

I have stated in the past that i dont think official match day threads work on here.

Before today the only threads I have ever merged are ones which are of almost exact same title. Cant really be hard to follow because everyone replying to them are replying about the same thing.

I don't think it is an overreaction. Has I said, it isn't a case of 'getting the face on' or being mardy, it is simply that I don't enjoy reading forums with threads merged together so why use a forum where that happens? I used this one over all the others purely because of the format which I prefered. Oh and the people of course.

I used to love galaxy and then they changed the recipe and I didn't like it anymore so I stopped buying them. Wasn't an overreaction, I simply didn't like it so didn't eat it. Maybe the original post was worded wrongly but the request for a pm when it stops was genuine.

I can see both sides of the argument. Its annoying when, for example, we got 28 separate posts saying 'get in, goal for tarn' and every other post on the page disappears. But there are some subjects where merging the posts doesn’t work.

which was exactly what my sticky was about, merging threads which are almost the same, sometimes it cant be helped because members post at the same time. But other times someone posts the same topic with same title 10 minutes later when there's aready 15 replys to the first thread. there are also people on here who just like to be the threads starter :)
