Can you tell me what you know about the credentials of these potential new investors? Cos I know diddly squat. Or is it a case that any investment should be welcomed with open arms, regardless? I quite like the fact that our club, in my lifetime has been run by people who care for the club, above any intention of making a fast buck. In that I include John Dennis and Patrick Cryne, but I'm sure there were others. Yes, Patrick Cryne wants to find a new investor, and we can't rely on him indefinitely, but I make no apology for not jumping up and down at the prospect of investors who have no heart in the club. What will hapen to Chelsea if Abramovic gets bored? What will happe to Wednesday WHEN Mandaric wants to sell? What is happening at Portsmouth? Blackburn? Birmingham? How did Plymouth like their investors? How do Man Utd fans like their American owners? Maybe I'm just being negative.
Cos I know diddly squat. exactly. But just be negative hey, thats the best way to be about everything in life.
On a mission again HT? Turn it in ffs. Just because people are discussing what could go wrong with a foreign investor doesn't mean they are negative. Its called discussion. Ok we get you think it would be good, no possible bad could come from it. Maybe we should all just meet up and lick each others balls, we could even invite Don. We can all be blindly happy together then.
lets forget about the fact that we could lose KH too. Even if new owner promise to keep the managment team, after a few losses these foreighn investors tend to get shut anyway because they know better
Can't you understand the apprehension of people? There have been too many take-overs that have gone terribly wrong, and left the clubs involved on the verge of extinction. That is why people are concerned. This club came back from the verge 10 years ago. We don't want the same thing again.
Mandric, bates, Carsen yeung,Chainrie, hick & Gillett, those noughts in charge of the wombles, stoke holdings SA plc. That list gives Barnsley fans the right to show concern over the potential takeover of the club.
