Johnsons having a purple patch and it's continued to this series it looks. with a action like is then it WILL go wrong at some point and could get nasty again.

There looking okay with the bat but I still have massive reservations over the likes of Smith because hes not a top batsman and going through a purple patch now with luck.

 

Purple patches can last a long time though, Ian Bells did. I agree with Johnson, I reckon a few more tests till he gets whacked out the park then his confidence will go again

 

Ian Bells a class batsman with a very good technique I don't think Johnson or Smith have that.

 

He is ok now and again Ian Bell, I thought he should have took more blame in the winter, I thought he was awful

 

He AVG 45 even after the winter.
Bell's had a problem that he's been batting with absolute machines in Cook and Trott that have just batted and batted and got massive scores and with the World great KP and any player can't keep up with him in Tests for that shining light.

 

Wouldn't Bell be better batting at the tail end of the innings
