As you were the only ones to beleive me, I have finally spoken to one of the chaps within the Scoreboard and Music etc.

It wasn't a licensing or contract issue, so sorry for any confusion. But in fact different people in Marketing with different ideas etc. This doesn't mean that marketing pick it. Its not completely heavily influenced by anyone, however, they do discuss it at various levels. Its just a case of someone saying "play this" and the chap that presses play, does exactly that.

BTW, there was some reference to Lennie in that thread, he's still in their, and the lad who did the mic (jason) now works on Dearne FM.

So now I have tracked the lad down that I know, please feel free for anyone to conduct a vote etc (a real one, not just one that everyone puts owt down), I will be happy to present this to them, in order that they can consider a fans view if everyone feels so pressed that they want a fans choice.

    Regards

    RE: re Music at Oakwell

    accepted,

but their was only one tune that ever got the crowd going before the game...

    cacoon - timerider.

so although no one really wants to argue, i think my comment above is fair.

personally I couldn't care less. But I would prefer the above, it sounded like a football tune, not like some of the dribble that has been played since it was abandoned.

    COME ON, ARGUE ARGUE ARGUE..

jokin, I was merely following up my post yesterday, whereby Jay and Dirk Hartog was the only ones to express an interest and clarity on the issue, which I have provided. If people want to argue, then let them.
