Started series 2 of The Hour last night. I completely understand now. Watching Bel Rowley walk away from the camera meant I missed 27 minutes of dialogue.

Wait until you get to some of the later episodes. There's one in particular that is just spellbinding.

Hope you enjoy it, but I didn't think it was as good as the first series. The big let down is the club. The whole series hinges on the club being the most plush, s****y place in the whole of London. If it was an American series on HBO it would have looked amazing. On the BBC it looks like they're in the back room of a chapel.

See its even worse because I like the character too. I think I'm in love with Bel Rowley.

First series was my favourite programme last year so it was a high standard to follow. I know what you mean though, just finished series 3 of Boardwalk Empire which looked amazing. That said I do think the soundtrack and feel is spot on. Although I'm pretty certain the whole show is applying fairly modern liberal views in to an era when they didn't exist. Would Bel Rowley really be a high powered producer?

I think my wife would agree but he's losing out in the Dominic West stakes

    Ha ha.

Went to see him as Iago in Othello at The Crucible last year. I'm a bit dense though and don't quite understand what's going on in Shakespeare. I just tried to laugh when my wife did. In hindsight I don't think i should have copied the noise she made when he took his shirt off.

I didn't know he'd done stage up here. Have you seen the Devils Whore? I've got it but haven't got round to watching it yet. I've got a massive back log of things to watch, life's hard!

Think he's in My Fair Lady at The Crucible at the minute too (West I'm on about).

The Devils Whore which he was in got mixed reviews. I'll get round to watching it at some point.
