Just come back from long weekend in the Lake District and spotted the University of Cumbria site in Ambleside. Do I recall that that's where your daughter studies? If so what a stunning location!
Yes, mate, she was studying & living there in her second year at uni. She was at the Newton Rigg campus in her first year & is currently at the Carlisle campus in her final year. She loved Ambleside and you're dead right, it is beautiful.
She'll be finished up there in a couple of months time. Then she's hoping to study for her Masters Degree, which they don't do at the University of Cumbria.
It really is a great site at Ambleside isn't it........Newton Rigg is fine as well, Carlisle Ive no idea, the uni seems to be scattered around the city.......
Carlisle's quite decent and the campus she's on is only a few minutes walk from her house, but Ambleside is a special place to study and live.
I was external examiner there a few years back and the staff and students really impressed me. Not surprised she has had a good time
Well, she's looking forward to living at home with her wonderful Dad again once she's completed her course!
