FAO Keith Hill - Bobby Hassel

What is the problem. Is it because he's not accident prone, from Rochdale, not got blonde hair?

Find it amazing our most consistent defender doesn't get a look in. Hill reckons he's not a defender.

Feel we are a decent side, but we can't carry players who continually f**k up, we need players who can be trusted and Bobby although has lost pace to be a full back can certainly defend well.

Bobby is a fans favourite and there's a reason for that.

 

Bobby Hassel is not the answer to our problems , get over it.

I have been going for 44 years , seen enough to know that Hassel is no better than the current defence
On that note when will some realise on here that defence is a team thing , not down to 4 individuals , if you are under constant pressure it means midfield are not winning the ball.

 

How many matches have you been to at Oakwell this season?
I ask this because unless you fly back to the wilds of east Anglia, you cannot possibly get back there from Barnsley in the time it takes for you to post after a match!

Maybe, maybe not but there is no genuine football reason for Hill to treat Hassell the way he has.

 

You are right, defending is the responsibility of the whole team. However, at some point the defence is going to come under some pressure, it will have to do some defending. Thats not just because we are Barnsley, its just an inevitable part of football.

This year we have lost far more games than we have won. Of course there are plenty more problems than just playing Hassell instead of A N Other, and it of course is not going to guarantee any kind of success. . . . but it definitely, 100% cannot make us any worse . . . .

 

Not saying that Hassel is the answer to our problems.

But a solid defender which Hassel is, is the start of the solution.

Absolutely gutted today, feels like a defeat.

 

OMG just got home and i see this Load of shi*e thread.

If you went today you will see that Dyer was less affective because he was playing against a full back that can defend unlike last January at the King power.
