There are MANY MANY MANY of us who are well aware that we are a "work in progress".
Jeez Keith. Give it a bleeding rest eh?
Everytime we lose we do not require these inane comments.

He can say what wants as long as he stop us from going into the winter sleep mode.

 

Why should he say anything he wants? If he is talking ballox he needs telling!!

So, who on ere thinks we are a complete work? The finished article?

 

I have listened to Mr Hill's after the match comments. Nowhere does he say "Whitey does not believe that we are a work in progress". In that case, why have you taken his remarks as a personal attack upon yourself. Would you have been happier if he had said, "I know that we are a work in progress", because to my mind there is little difference between the two comments. The message should be read as "I know that we are not the finished article and that is why I intend to try to strengthen in the next transfer window". That process will continue in transfer windows thereafter. There will never be a time when the team is not a work in progress, because that is what football is. The first time that the manager sits back and says that the team is complete is the time when the team begins to decline. In other words, the comment is meaningless and throw away and certainly nothing to be upset about. Stop going through Mr Hills comments with a fine tooth comb, looking for something to get upset about. It just makes you look fickle, and I am sure that you are not.

 

Hang about Red Rain, I had already posted my thoughts about the game. I was pleased, content even. Onwards and upwards etc.
Then, I was enjoying the interview on deedar, where he said nothing to annoy me - he rarely does - until the final bit where after having a pop at West Ham's fans, he went on to say what I quoted - verbatim - in my OP.
He first said "we are a work in progress", which is true. Then though, he said "and thats what annoys me that I dont think anyone understands or believes that we are... etc"
The interview then ended.
I thought it was untrue, and unneccessary. And I stand by that.
I am his biggest fan. Therefore the last thing I do is chase his every word hoping to moan about him.
I would like to know why he thinks that NO tarn fans agree that we are a work in progress. Because thats what he is suggesting

 

I thought he spoke rather well in the 12 seconds he was on air

 

'I don't think anyone understands' that includes Whitey, it includes me and it includes you as well. Keith Hill's team has lost and once again he has had a totally unnecessary dig at the fans as a collective. Every single last one of us.

That to me comes across at a comment about the media - they're the ones that have been asking about 'something special' at Oakwell and us in the play offs etc.

There's some well developed persecution complexes on here. I don't know how Whitey gets through the day the poor fragile sensitive little soul.

 

When have Barnsley FC ever been the finished article or any other team for that matter, every team is a work in progress.
