I wouldn't say so, I have a friend working in the clubshop, but I've dealt with the ladies in the box office many times and I don't have a bad word to say about them.
Ok I was just wondering. Out of interest, do you know if the club shop staff know how to sell tickets? And I also haven't got a bad word to say about any of the people working in the box office. If I was to have a bad word about the box office it would be about it's organisation and set up rather than about the staff themselves.
As with every job/role i'm pretty sure the basics are easy enough to pick up, but whether they can just go from clubshop to ticket office without knowing the ins and outs is debatable. Especially with such heavy traffic with the demand for Man City tickets. My personal opinion is it would probably cause more problems than it would solve.
Then I'd say that is down to a severe lack of planning and organisation from the club. Surely everyone in the clubshop should be sent into the box office during quiet periods to train and learn how to do the one and only task in there. Then they'd be able to help out when they're busy/someone phones in sick.
Are the clubshop staff employed by BFC or Justsport? Genuine question, because I'm pretty sure they're Justsport employees these days.
