How Good? 3 or 4 star quality - there's a Holiday Inn on King Cross Road (5/6 minute walk from KK) and a Jurys Inn at the top of Pentonville Road (Bit further but islington is just round the corner from there which is a lot nicer if you want to have a wander around at night) </p>
I've stopped the Kings Cross Premier Travel Inn a couple of times Very nice for a Travel Inn indeed, and i've stopped in a Travel Lodge in Kings Cross too and that was ok. Piece of piss to get home on a night as there's always a late bus running from Central London.
RE: How Good? Apparently the cheapest tarts can be found beneath the concrete arches, as for the digs i wouldn't have a clue.
That's a quality site I've come a cropper with leaving it too late though, a couple of days before and everything goes back up in price and by then it's too late and you're f@cked
