Hatton for sports personality of the year? HAS to be when he beats Mayweather I would have thought. Finally the era of the Mayweather myth is drawing closer to an end. Damn shame it's not going to be over here. His biggest fight ever should be in his homeland and the money should have been put up to make it happen. At least with De La Hoya and not Dennis Hobson promoting it, you are going to see a decent undercard.

Witter wasn't even going to get Hatton before he goes to beat Mayweather. Yeah Las Vegas in December, Hatton up a weight and Mayweather down a weight. Ricky to get 8 million quid and Floyd a lot more.

Its a no lose situation for Hatton, if he wins he's great and earns millionsif he loses which i think he will then he can just say that he should have not stepped up a weight and he also wins millions.

Hope he does it but the weight difference will be the major problem he has to overcome.

He will learn from his mistakes in his one and only fight at that weight and he ups his game for the bigger fights. I am disapointed he isn't going to have his biggest ever fight in England. Yanks have only been bothered about him for a couple of fights. If he beats Floyd he can expect many more massive paydays. He should get sports personality of the year as well. I wonder what odds he is at the moment for it. Could be worth a flutter.
