Dear Patrick, I think everybody will agree that we as supporters owe you a massive debt of gratitude for your efforts in relation to Barnsley FC over the last few years but if you persist with Simon Davey then all that will happen is that as well as the fans turning against the Manager then they may start to turn against the board as well. We as supporters all look to the Boards judgments in relation to taking the correct decisions to enable the club to move forward and you have to be commended for the funds that you have made available for the purchase of new players, but surely now the board must relieve the Manager of his duties this evening in order to restore some order of confidence amongst the supporters. I appreciate that your looking for a period of stability after the ridiculous amount of managers the club employed in such a small timescale and I commend you in sticking with Mr Davey over the last 30 or so months but I'm afraid that if you persist in employing Mr Davey then perhaps the fans will begin to criticise yourself which is something that I certainly wouldn't advocate. For the good of the club please relieve the manager of his duties over the weekend Yours sincerely, Andrew Williams
