Would beckham own it in the England football way or would it be like a Franchise of say McDonald were it like you rent the brand but still have decisions to make.

I suppose the Americans are used to it now but can you imagine a franchise system here? The 'Barnsley Tykes' or something start to lose crowds so the owners decide to move the franchise to Halifax where there could be more demand to become the 'Halifax Tykes', how do fans even show loyalty to their club in this scenario when the club is never going to be loyal to them?

would the franchise system work in England instead of clubs going out of business, ala MK Dons. i think there an exception and no it wouldnt work.

Most fans here are loyal to the major city they grew up in.And the team moving doesnt happen that often these days.
