There were a few things in the programme in the past that made it worth reading, unfortunatly over the last few years the quality and originality have both fallen until they have reached the point that people only really buy them because they are collecting them, there are few people that actually find them an interesting read anymore.

Steve lodge used to have an interesting column

I'm not sure if they're still in the programme to be honest, it's been a while since i've actually READ much of it.

well only way we will get a review we can be proud of and want to buy is by supporters working with the review team and editor, certainly not through sniping.

New season time to move on eh :) . I thought with it being close season it would be a good time to introduce changes and new ideas.

Do you think Rob would be open to suggestions? Maybe I should email him.

I seem to recall that the person before rob came on here and asked for suggestions for the programme, very few of those were actually implemented though which is a shame.

I think a problem is just how much time Rob has to put into the programme, what with the website and his other duties, if he has to do too much then he'll do them all badly, get him focused on one or two jobs and he'll do them well (i think).

Even with suggestions what could he realistically be expected to achieve? My guess is not a lot so it would have to be people willing to actually provide the content and then it is a case of what could they provide that isnt already in the programme?

    Don't be so negative Super!

I think you are probably right with regards to mistakes made in the past. These probably occured because the editor has too much on his plate. Bearing in mind the amount of time some people spend on here I'm sure we could find some voluntary contributors.

Contrary to popular opinion ( :D ) there are some intelligent people post on this site who could write some interesting stuff.

I wasn't being negative, I was saying that in order for people to help out with content it would have to be something that isnt already in the programme. A fans general opinion of what's going on at the moment would be pointless, there are already two or three pages just like that in the programme so it would need to be something different.

A fan who is able to do the Tommy/Sam sez thing would be a good addition. Somebody able to draw decent cartoons as well maybe? Somebody able to come up with simple puzzles/quiz for children?

exactly you're already coming up with good ideas to make it more lively and original :) .

At the moement it is all pretty standard. Im not sure we do have a fans view bit in it? which bit would you say that was?

anyway good ideas. Im sure the editor would be glad of suggestions?

I'd say that the fans view bit is the bit from the 1575 lot, they generally have a page where one of their team just generally ramble on about anything from a fans perspective. then theirs robs own page which is in theory the same. the benny hill column is again the same thing but from an outsiders point of view (sometimes).

    hmmm I suppose.

Maybe the editors bit could morph into a different format?

I'd like more supporters stuff in.

    Pictures of supporters?

    Quizes and crossword

    Sam sez

    Dave Coppings bit always interesting
