then users don't have to trawl through pages. then they will see the thread as soon as they log in, cheers.
Well that's my use of the BBS significantly reduced in one swift move. The BBS is brilliant in that it evolves daily and changes shape constantly as people make random posts and threads and random replies to people. The same thing is often posted in many different threads because that is how the conversation has evolved. It has always done this at least for the 13 (I think) years that I've used it and it has been the one thing I've loved about it and that has made it stand out from the other generic, bland forums out there. It is more than just a structured list of topics, it is essentially one huge chatroom where people post whatever they want, wherever they want. As soon as we have made the decision to have a rule of 'here is the thread to post about the match against ipswich and it will be pinned to the top as a sticky' you've completely lost my interest in the board. It is one huge step in the direction of the structured, regimental, utterly ***** forums that are already out there and get a tiny percentage of the traffic that this one does (for that very reason). I don't like somebody thinking for me, telling me what to say and where to say it, I want an evolving, growing, changing BBS that has worked so well for so long. End of rant.
At least if there is only 1 matchday thread, you won't have 15 others to moan like **** in. just saying like, no offence
