well i can probably answer that better. lived down there for 28 of my years until march last year until i had to move into town to get myself on the ladder. would have stayed down there if i could y u wanna know
Well.... The houses there are quite "mature" shall we say, and some of them could probably be better maintained, but I know some people from there who come in my local and they are fine, in fact 2 of them are Chelsea fans who moved up here from London to get away from the so-called "rat race" and they love it here now. I can only say there are much better areas in Barnsley and also much worse ones - if you are buying a house prices there will be competitive but in all honesty if you had a fat wedge available you would probably get on the ladder somewhere else. Probably get slaughtered now but I can take it....
