Today's starting line up has to be close, if not the youngest League starting X1 in terms of combined age surely?

Never worked it out before but I think I'd start at that Port Vale game in 2005. 11 players out of the 15 named were from the Academy.

The team that ended that game was even younger at 7814. on average 21 years 4 months and 22 days old

 

I tried to work out he age of the team which finished today, and it was over 8000 (although i couldnt get the exact age of George Williams) days so that team was younger than this one.

 

Thanks for that. I cant think of another occasion where we have been so youthful.

 

One game which sticks in my head is the final game of the 95/96 season when we played Grimsby at home. Now I could be wrong, as I was only 6 at the time but I seem to remember us handing out a few debuts to young players that game?

Tried to confirm this with soccerbase but the only team information it has was that Neil Redfearn was an unused sub.
