He's right what he's said though - the Greeks weren't allowed to spoil the project.

Some people might not like him..........but he tends to say it has it is !!!

Question is though..............why hasn't this clip been shown on the BBC News???

Dread to think that there was a cover up by the BBC and they were trying to suppress anti EU opinions !!!

I think it is news when you've got Merkel and Hollande sitting there, faces like thunder.

Of course he's right. It would seem nothing can be allowed to spoil the project, not even as the project turns to sh*te around them. Merkel/Hollande et al are the modern equivalent of Nero fiddling while Rome burns.

Spot on Nudge, you're never going to see this kind of opinion getting a wide airing on the Beeb as it's clearly completely at odds with their own world view, and b*gger what the licence fee-paying viewer might think. Nor would it benefit them, as I understand the BBC get a shedload of money from the EU every year, some of which is intended to help them publicise how wonderful the EU is for us all - insidious behaviour of North Korean proportions.

Absolute rubbish. Think you need to look at the vote-share at the last election, and you'll find that it was the current electoral system that shafted UKIP. They actually got more votes (best part of four millions votes in fact) than the LibDems and SNP combined, yet those two parties returned 64 MPs between them, while UKIP returned just one. They'd have had millions more votes too, had it not been for the prospect of a disastrous Labour/SNP coalition causing many of the English voters to hold their noses and vote Conservative.

The electorate will bin them quicker than a lib dem once they are found out.
Working people voting for them and their Tory cousins is like turkeys voting to keep Xmas.

Its strange that working people are voting for people who's only aim is to abolish human rights including working rights and conditions that stops or tries to stop us being exploited by the very people who fund these two party's.

That's a eurozone problem with a right wing leadership .
Its not the fundamental basis of what EU was called for it was for free trade between countries with a human and workers rights act.
The problem is that now the right wing want to keep the trade part but be allowed to exploit the workforce .it must not happen

No problem with free trade, but the EU is/has evolved into a conduit for driving down wages - the free movement of labour is used by corporations to ship cheap labour in and then move premises on occasion to where the labour is cheapest. TTIP is coming - that is not the friend of the worker or the NHS. The EU is subject to undue force from the multinational corporations. I don't think the EU can be reformed - or that Merkel wants it reforming.

Thankfully the vast majority of people in this country don't share this view or indeed buy into the rhetoric.

Just out of interest, and bearing in mind that the working rights you're alluding to are a very different thing to human rights, what actual human rights are parties like the Conservatives/UKIP wanting to abolish?
