A bit harsh to call it "modern crap" in my opinion...

They're hardly modern anymore, and even though I'm not their (the "modern" Nirvana) biggest fan either, they were a pretty good and influential band.

But yeah, I think the original (60's) Nirvana is much better too. :D

Yh I meant the modern crap (well 80's/90's). Happy days for me. Although I have heard some stuff from the 60's group, unusual.

    The Boo Radleys!

    Anyone remember them?

They split up ten years ago, but they're easily my all-time favourite band.
Sadly they'll always be remembered for just one song (Wake Up Boo!), which is better than nothing I suppose, but they made seven excellent (yet totally different) albums that are all worth checking out in my opinion. The problem with most modern bands is that they're too afraid to experiment and be creative...

I've met Martin Carr from the Boos quite a few times as well, he's a really friendly guy... he even invited me to stay at his house once after a late gig in Cardiff! :D I bumped into him on a busy street in central London earlier this year - the amazing thing is that he lives in Cardiff at the moment and I live in Finland! That was quite surreal...
He's still making music too, at the moment he's trying to get his new album released through Bandstocks (which you may or may not have heard of). I feel like a bit of a spammer now, but if you're interested go check out his new songs here: http://www.bandstocks.com/Project.htm?ProjectId=62
