I've been a season ticket holder now for 15 years. I've been to just about every ground in the country, save the likes of Arsenal/Morecambe/Dagenham/Hereford etc etc...

I MADE sure that either myself or my mum could go down on Monday morning and get us some tickets for Liverpool. She took the day off work, and queued from 8:50 to 1:45 until she got the tickets. We made that happen.

*BUT I WAS WORKING! - they cry*

    Pfft.

Surely, most of you on here know that the majority of people in Barnsley...DONT support Barnsley. If you REALLY wanted to go to Anfield, and I mean REALLY wanted to go. You would be going, and not sat on here complaining to a bunch of unknown entities about the ways of the world.

90% of the people going to Anfield however, I guarantee you will be supporting Barnsley. Look at it like this = 5500 season ticket holders, 6000 tickets for Liverpool.

Thats around 3000 season ticket holders. How many of those 'poor' saps do you think will have endured the likes of Notts County away, Macclesfield away in the cup (1-4...*shudders*), Northampton away, Swindon away?...Probably quite a few. I know I did.

Of course, there will be the odd 'glory' supporter, out only to see Liverpool - but that's to be expected. I don't condone this, but in my opinion - the way in which the ticket selling was operated made sure that NOT ALOT of these types got their hands on tickets. Think about the season ticket example - IF a lot of season ticket holders couldn't get their hands on tickets...what chance have the glory hunters. Or those that suddenly perked up and went to see the Reds take on mighty Colchester on a cold Tuesday night...hmmm I wonder why they chose that match???

My mate was gloating last Tuesday, because he'd been to the Colchester game (He'd not been to a match since Newcastle away...) and was now going to Anfield. Only, he can't get a ticket now :)

If you really wanted to go, you'd be going. So quit moaning - just take heart, the majority of the people going WILL be proper fans and if you were unlucky/lazy enough to not be able to get a ticket - just remember, you'll still be there when we're scraping a draw away at Scnuthorpe ;)
