Isn't it because he did some fund raising and saved the club from extinction? He was on about trying to save the club last week and was urging listeners to go down and support them last Sunday. He also did a lot of fundraising for them I've heard.

I used to watch Rovers home and away For about 10 years I hardly missed a game. Then Rupert Murdoch stuck his fat aussie face in and decided that his new Super League would have less teams.I seem to remember that wewent down that season because of that on <u>points difference</u> from Hull (I think).</p> Since that day they've been buggered, because such a small town can't possibly support a team in the way that a Bradford or Leeds can. Such a shame but didn't have to happen.</p> Didn't realise Moyles was involved as I'm a radio 2 listener, but fair play to the lad. </p>
