Remember the first team use the facilities as well So I think you would have to view the marginal cost of running the academy. OK the land could be sold for a few million to build another Tesco's but having to find / rent / build more training facilites, I doubt the net impact on the club would be more than the acquisition of one striker - and Davey's record on signing them doesn't seem to be brilliant. Given that we have it now closing it down would be a bad idea. I agree it's not productive enough.

Butterfield and Potter are the only ones.. Atkinson and Heslop out on loan, and they'll probably stay there.
I would imagine that's well within the expectations of the club Four still good enough from each year. I doubt if many clubs keep more than that.
Hes alright on skill school but not very good in proper football,living proof that you need more than a few fancy dan tricks to make it.
