but I'm easing my relegation worries by hoping that Wednesday get a points deduction and that Southampton, Coventry, Norwich or Leicester go into administration in the near future (unlikely I know) Am I the only one who has had that thought cross their mind?
They won't .... it will be a pittance of a fine, as there is precedence from last year with Leeds United
You think more? I think they could just take the point away they gained from the game and hand them a pathetic fine.
Only way to stay up is to win football matches. Every game we lose is a step towards relegation, every win is a step towards safety. If we get relegated it won't be because F.A. failed to take points off other teams, it will be because our lads didn't bring home the bacon. We have to take this situation into our own hands, at the moment we're static like rabbits in the head lights - we need to snap out of it, go out there and play for survival. I don't give a toss about Wednesday or United, or anyone else for that matter. I don't have time to sympathise with any other side in the relegation fight. We should have been safe by now - a long time ago. Sure, I could pick three teams to go down, and it wouldn't take me very long to do it (any three teams other than Barnsley) - but I'm looking at our side waiting for them to get a bloody grip thinking 'any time now would be good'. I went to Ipswich away last year and saw us get thrashed - I thought at that point 'pure relegation fodder', then look what happened - nothing short of a miracle. This year I went to Ipswich, saw a great performance, tight, hard to play against, superb in defence, tenacious, chasing every loose ball, kept a clean sheet. Walked away thinking 'that's not a relegation side - no way'. I felt relieved at that point. **** me. At what point do they get the video out and show them how they played against Liverpool, Chelsea, Ipswich etc and ask them why the **** they don't go out like that every week?! And waiting for Sunday is killing me.
