The first half was a bit of a struggle. It's difficult to remember a game where we had so many players going down injured for one thing or another. Thankfully, we rode the storm out until half time. I thought we played very well in the second and on another day could've picked up three points and scored quite a few goals. Alas, it was not to be. The Play Offs look unlikely now, but it's not over till Nurse Gladys starts singing. A special mention to Ariyibi of Chesterfield who was as good an opposition player as I've seen all season. Very disappointed to hear some of our fans sat a few rows back from us booing James Bree. Onto Tuesday night now and continue what has been an excellent second half of the season.
If we have had fans booing James Bree today then I really do despair. Not one brain cell between them. Jesus Christ this wonderful game attracts some proper moronic cretins.
I see where you're coming from but I just don't feel the same way. We managed to throw away a crucial game vs a side who had a man sent off when we'd just equalised and were in the ascendancy. We had to win or at worst draw and we did the unthinkable. I hope they're feeling as distraught and dejected as I am. And to compound it all it was at home against a manager who we suffered under so much away from home last season. And we let him bring his team here and steal the 3 points.
I would imagine that our players are feeling far more distraught and dejected than any of us. I say that on the basis of what I saw in their faces at the end of the match. They'll be hurting but that will help them on Tuesday to bounce back.
That's all they can do I suppose, win Tuesday and hope that someone above us slips up. I wish teams would roll over for us as willingly as they do for Bradford and Millwall.
I think everybody is feeling a bit down tonight but a win on Tuesday and we're right back in the playoff race. If fit I'd definitely bring Williams back in. Booing Bree is bang out of order.
I didn't hear anyone booing Bree but shame on anyone who did. And besides, he didn't ask to be thrown in after just coming back from injury. Silly, silly decision by Hecky and one I hope he learns from.
I didn't hear it either but I have no reason to doubt Kev so I'm sure it happened. I'd like to know if Williams wasn't quite fit today because surely Hecky wouldn't drop him for no reason.
Yep, I'd like Hecky to let us know that too Mario, not to criticise but to understand the thinking. Especially as their good left winger Ariyibi must love playing against us - old LJ (who?) ludicrously played Scowen at right back against him at their place rather than pick George and Ariyibi had a field day then as well. Didn't hear the booing of Bree but shameful if there was.
